Fergie has said she is “thrilled” about her engagement to Josh Duhamel.

The couple of three years got engaged at some point over Christmas but speaking to People magazine at the weekend, the Black Eyed Peas star refused to give out any details of how the proposal came about: “I’m not giving any details. I think [the fine points] are sacred. It’s just important to us.”

But she did admit it was hard to keep the tale a secret: “It’s hard for me because I have a big mouth.”

“I feel like the luckiest girl in the world [though]. I’m thrilled.”

She added that after a busy few years, she hopes to see more of her husband-to-be and the rest of her loved ones in 2008: “In 2008, I just want to have a balance. I’ve been touring for about four-and-a-half years straight. So for me, I love when I get to go home now and see my dogs.”

“It’s important for me to see more of my family, see more of my sister, my mom and dad.”
