Angelina Jolie has reportedly ended her five year feud with her father Jon Voight after calling the actor on Christmas Day.

The pair fell out in 2002 after Jon said she had “serious emotional problems” during a TV interview about his relationship with the Tomb Raider star. Angelina refused to talk to him after that but over the past year has made comments suggesting the possibility of a reunion.

A source claiming to be a friend of the family told the National Enquirer that Angelina decided to phone Voight after spending a joyful Christmas morning with partner Brad Pitt and their four children: “It was a short call, but it meant the world to both of them.”

“It was something for them to build on, and Jon couldn’t say enough good things about the way his daughter is conducting her life.”
