Will Smith has revealed that his wife Jada Pinkett Smith loves it when he has to build up plenty of muscle for his film roles.

Will had to get into shape for his new film I Am Legend but it was nothing like the physique he built up to play Muhammad Ali in 2001’s Ali.

He explained recently: “[Jada] quite likes me like [I am now] and I’m really pleased with it, but she likes it more when I’m really bulked up. She prefers my Ali body.”

“I love being in great physical shape. The quality of parenting depends on it, and it impacts on the quality of my relationship with my wife. It’s the beginning of finding happiness achieving the things you want to.”

But it’s not just his wife that he’s interested in impressing: “I love it when the ladies go ‘ooh!’ at it. That turns me on a little bit.”
