David Beckham’s presence on the Spice Girls comeback tour may be adding to the reported tensions between the five women.

David has joked that he’s the official backstage photographer for the tour, following the antics of his wife Victoria Beckham and her bandmates, but now a tour source has told Closer magazine that he’s causing problems too.

The source explained that the other women have nicknamed him “Yoko Beckham” because of his ability to disrupt the group: “The other girls say Victoria’s concentration flags when David is around, [she] is sluggish and has no interest in socialising with the other girls.”

The source added that David’s opinions have also stirred up problems in certain quarters: “David has complained to Posh that he hates the way Stephen Belafonte tries to control Mel B in public.”

“He’s even said he thinks Stephen’s borderline abusive, because of the way he tries to tell her what she can or can’t do. He thinks he is a user and an opportunist, taking advantage of Mel B and trying to ride her coat-tails to a producing career.”
