Amy Winehouse is reportedly keen to start a family with husband Blake Fielder-Civil and wants to get going on it as soon as he is released from jail.

Blake is currently on remand at Pentonville prison for his alleged involvement in a trial fixing plot but may be released on bail later this month.

A friend of the singer told the People newspaper: “On her last prison visit she told Blake she wants to try and get pregnant as soon as she can.”

“She reckons it would pull them together as a family and help them focus their lives on something positive. It sounds like a crazy idea, but on the other hand it could be the thing that adds stability to her life.”

“Amy is really hopeful he will be allowed out and that they can get on with their lives. But one of the first things she wants to do is hit the bedroom and make her latest plan come true.”

“Amy has her mind set on it and will do all she can to make it happen.”

Amy arrived back in the UK yesterday after celebrating New Year in the Caribbean.
