Samantha MumbaDancing on Ice contestant Samantha Mumba may have to quit the celebrity dance show before it properly gets started after collapsing at home yesterday.

The former pop star was rushed to hospital and hooked up onto a drip after doctors diagnosed severe flu symptoms and dehydration.

Show producers have arranged for extra medics and equipment to be on standby when the series’ first live show is recorded at the weekend - but Samantha may have to skip it all together if doctors judge her to have not recovered sufficiently in time to perform.

An inside source told the Mirror: “She was very sick but is resting now and is determined to get better and get back on the ice.”
