Cor, I’ve not written on here for ages - hope everyone had a happy festive season and 2008 is treating you all well so far. I don’t really celebrate Christmas (hence being the one in charge of updates throughout the late December/early Jan period) but I had a most bizarre 10+ year reunion thing for a nightclub I went to back in the day on the 23rd and so going home for that made it feel like I’d done the typical family thing after all. New Year was great too and so far 2008 has been going just swimmingly (literally - I did 60 lengths of the pool yesterday!).

Anyway, enough about me. 2008 looks like it’s going to be another exciting year for Fametastic. We celebrate our second anniversary later this month* and we’re busy thinking up ideas to make that a worthy celebration. We’re also at the drawing board for a number of new features for the site - we’ve got so many ideas, we’re just working out the details of what to do first.

But the best thing we’re looking forward to doing in 2008 is building up the Fametastic community both on and off the site. We love hearing from you guys and reading your comments so we don’t feel quite so lonely on this big scary internet ;) We’re developing new ways of keeping you guys up-to-date with the latest news and we’re also getting ourselves out there on all the social networking sites. We’re going to keep adding new sites and new features to those profiles etc over the next few months but if you’ve got any suggestions about other sites we should join/make a widget for, please let us know.

And don’t forget you can comment on each and every article on the Fametastic news site and we also have the Fametastic forums over here too - you have to register to use them but once you do, that log in can be used on the main news site too so all your comments are linked together.

* we actually started the site in July 2005 but gave up after about six weeks for a number of reasons - mostly we were too busy to do it properly. We kicked it off again in January 2006 so that’s when we celebrate our proper birthday.
