Michelle RodriguezMichelle Rodriguez has been released early from her jail sentence even though the judge in charge of her case explicitly said that was not supposed to happen.

Michelle was sentenced to 180 days at the Century Regional Detention Facility at Lynwood, California for violating her probabtion following a drink-driving arrest. The DUI itself was a violation of a previous probation then Michelle was also found to have consumed alcohol on at least three occasions while on a 90 day drinking ban and failed to complete the court-ordered community service.

The former Lost star surrendered herself to the jail on Christmas Eve but was released again on Wednesday after serving just 17 days.

An inside source explained: “Lynwood is severely overcrowded at the moment. There was no way they could keep her in for the full six months - they needed her spot for more serious offenders. It was unrealistic to give out that sentence in the first place.”
