Britney SpearsBritney Spears spent just seven hours in Mexico on Wednesday before returning to her Beverly Hills home.

The star hired a private jet to fly her and her paparazzo boyfling Adnan Ghalib to Baja California on Wednesday afternoon - and a second jet to fly to New York as a diversionary tactic.

The pair, with at least one other man, believed to be one of Adnan’s colleagues from the Finalpixx photo agency, arrived in Mexico around 3pm local time and the group checked into the Rosarito Beach Hotel.

Britney, wearing a pink wig, then took Adnan souvenir shopping: she is said to have bought two fake Gucci handbags while British-born Adnan bought a set of rosary beads. The gift shop staff member described her as looking “serious and haggard, with an aspect of drunkenness. She didn’t have makeup on.”

“When I saw her, I asked her for a photo and an autograph but she didn’t want to.”

After their shopping, the couple returned to their hotel room to enjoy a free basket of Mexican sweets but then are said to have checked out around 10pm to return to Los Angeles, arriving back in the early hours of Thursday morning. Later in the day, Adnan was spotted leaving the house then returning in the evening to go on a cigarette and soft drinks run with Britney’s friend Sam Lufti.

According to Finalpixx, Britney and Adnan are “happily dating” and despite the hooplah surrounding them over the last week, they’re trying to build a “a healthy, normal relationship”: “After being released from the hospital Britney and Adnan spent the night and the following days together resting, eating, sleeping, shopping and talking about life and the love they have for their families.”

Adnan will not speak publicly about their relationship now because it will “not be of benefit to her for him to do so”: “Should he choose to speak about Britney, he only has positive things to say about her and the time that they have spent together.”

Finalpixx are said to be selling photos of the couple walking hand-in-hand for around $2000 each.
