KT TunstallKT Tunstall has revealed that boyfriend Luke Bullen surprised her on Christmas Day then proposed.

Writing on her website, KT explained recently that she had thought Luke, the drummer in her backing band, would be spending the holiday in Norwich with friends so was surprised to find him on her parents’ doorstep in St Andrews, Fife: “So, 11 o clock on Christmas morning, the doorbell goes and it’s Luke suited and booted. With all his bags. And a little box. Wrapped with a ribbon. He proposed!”

“Being an opportunist, I obviously said yes. It feels smashing.”

She added that the couple aren’t hanging around when it comes to making their wedding plans and have already booked a venue for September: “We’re gonna do the deed way up in the wild North.”

“Keep an eye out for a little sparkle as I’m playing those chords.”
