Victoria BeckhamVictoria Beckham has reportedly changed her mind about if and when she wants a fourth child with husband David Beckham.

The couple had previously (and repeatedly) expressed their hopes for a daughter to add to their family of three sons and hinted that they would start trying for the baby after the end of the Spice Girls‘ reunion tour - but now Victoria is said to have changed her mind.

A source told the People newspaper: “David is desperate for another baby, the baby they have talked about for ages.”

“But Victoria is revelling in the success of the band reunion and loves the partying that comes with it. She is very loyal to David but she feels she has played second fiddle to him for long enough. Now it’s her time to shine again.”

“As far as she’s concerned, another baby is not on the agenda right now. It’s causing strife in the relationship. You can feel the tension.”

“It’s a major bone of contention - but who can blame Victoria? She’s living the dream. The reunion tour has gone better than her wildest hopes. Getting back with the band has given her a new lease of life.”

“She is determined to enjoy herself. She loves the fact that now she is in the driving seat - just like when they first got together in 1997.”

“She was then a successful pop star and he was a little-known Manchester United player. This year is for her. She wants to party, party, party and a baby won’t allow that. David is deeply upset.”

“He doesn’t love partying, he’d rather be at home. He’s at his wit’s end.”

Other reports claim that it’s not just her current popularity that’s putting Victoria off expanding their family: she’s also said to be worried that a fourth child will “ruin” her body.

A source explained: “Each pregnancy so far has made her boobs sag further and made her stomach harder to keep firm, and that’s before considering Caesarian scars.”

“She knows she’s older and her skin is less elastic than it was when she was pregnant before and so the effects will be worse. She worries that another baby would cause irreversible damage and just as she’s starting to make her way in the fashion world, she can’t afford to let that happen.”
