David BeckhamSnoop Dogg has revealed that he and home-loving David Beckham have strengthened their friendship … over their shared love of slippers.

The rapper told the Mirror recently: “David and I go back years. He is terrific with my kids and taught them how to shoot and score the perfect goal. That’s a partnership you never thought you would see, Snoop and Beckham.”

But their love of footwear is as equally strange: “I got him a pair as a present, and he took a picture and sent it back to me, and I was like, ‘They look cool!’”

“We are talking about making a slipper together. So when I stop rapping and he stops football we can kick back and slip on a house shoe.”

Snoop added that Victoria Beckham didn’t approve of the odd couple’s friendship until she saw his reality TV show.

Snoop first met Victoria at the Live 8 concert in 2006 but “she didn’t really like me much. She didn’t like my bad boy persona.”

“All she knew was ‘Snoop Dogg’s a bad guy. I don’t want my husband dealing with him - he’s going to rub off on my husband.’”

“But now she’s seen my show, and I think I’m cool with her now that she knows I’m family-orientated, that I have structure and a wife.”

“Now she knows I’m a great person to rub off on her husband.”
