Eva LongoriaEva Longoria has told friend Jessica Simpson to ignore the flack she’s getting from Dallas Cowboy fans over her relationship with Tony Romo.

Jessica was blamed for Tony’s less-than-impressive performance at a recent game as fans claimed she was distracting him, although it’s more likely that a hand injury - believed to be a broken thumb - was the cause. Opposition fans have also worn Jessica masks to mock the Texan team.

But Eva told People magazine recently that all the claims against Jessica sound painfully familiar - she got similar jibes when she first started seeing now-husband, San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker: “When I first started dating Tony, I got the same flack, and this was so many years ago that people don’t remember.”

“If he had a bad game, it was my fault; if he got injured, it was my fault; if he had a good game, it wasn’t because of me.”

“Believe me, [the men] are not thinking of us when they are on the field, particularly Tony Romo, who has 10 linemen coming at him. Do you think that he is really thinking about Jessica the moment that he is about to get sacked?”

She added: “You have to weather it for a while, and once people get over it, they kind of get used to you.”
