Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise’s baby plans upset by writers strike?

The ongoing writers strike is reportedly upsetting Katie Holmes‘ plans to have a second baby with husband Tom Cruise.

The Mad Money star had planned to start filming new movie The Other Side this month then work on getting pregnant - but the writers strike has pushed the production date back. A source close to the Cruises told OK magazine: “She had it all figured out. She’d shoot The Other Side and then get pregnant. She’d have the baby by year-end, go back to work next spring and have another film out by the end of 2009.”

But now she might have to choose between extending her family or focusing on her career: “She doesn’t know what to do. If she gets pregnant and The Other Side comes together or the strike ends, and she’s offered something else great, she’ll be off the market.

“Both she and Tom - especially Tom - were hoping to have their next baby before Katie turns 30 in December.”
