Ruby StewartRuby Stewart has revealed she barely spoke to her sister Kimberly Stewart when the pair were growing up.

Ruby told Look magazine recently: “I love Kimberly to death now, but there was a point when we were younger when we didn’t talk.

“It was partly because of our ages [Kimberly is eight years older than 18 year old Ruby] and we lived in a different place.”

Their dad Rod Stewart’s affair with Ruby’s mum Kelly Emberg ended his marriage to Kimberly’s mum Alana Hamilton so there was also a level of amimosity between the two sides of the family - and Ruby expected that to be extended when Rod got together with his current wife Penny Lancaster: “At first we thought Penny was going to be a wicked witch, but she came into our house acting like a mum, and she tucked us in at night, so we didn’t torment her.”

“No I love Penny, she’s calm and sweet.”
