Eddie Murphy dumped Tracey Edmonds over pre-nup refusal?

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds may have split up over money, according to a source close to the former couple.

The pair held a spiritual ceremony in Bora Bora in the South Pacific on New Year’s Day and were planning to have a second legal ceremony on their return to the US - but last week, Eddie’s spokesperson revealed that they had split up instead.

Interpersonal issues, arguments over Tracey’s non-adoption of Eddie’s surname and squabbles over the plans for the legal ceremony were initially rumoured to be the source of the split but now a friend has told the New York Post that it came down to financial issues: “Tracey wouldn’t sign a pre-nup.”

Eddie and his legal team were keen to protect his rumoured $350million fortune but Tracey wasn’t interested in signing: “When it became clear she wouldn’t sign, Eddie double-checked their legal position after the Bora Bora ceremony then dumped her.”
