Britney SpearsBritney Spears’s boyfling Adnan Ghalib is denying rumours that the star dumped him and has a restraining order issued to keep him away from her.

Britney is said to have cut him loose over the weekend after she realised he was tipping off paparazzi colleagues about their whereabouts and selling exclusive pictures of the pair of them together.

A source close to the star explained: “She thought Adnan was her knight in shining armour. He gained her trust by protecting her from photographers and being a friendly face in her darkest periods.

“But Britney now believes he was making money. She’s deeply upset and feels used.”

Britney reportedly showed the restraining order paperwork to two photographers near her home in Malibu on Saturday night - then invited the paparazzos to spend the evening with her.

One of the photographers, from the X17 photo agency, explained: “Britney asked us to leave the cameras in the car, and she poured some champagne for us. She was very sweet.”

“We had fun. Britney was funny, very relaxed, dancing a little bit, and she carried her little dog all the time.”

“Britney [also] expressed disappointment and anger toward Adnan for being ‘set-up’ in photographs that Adnan and his agency have sold.”

However, Adnan has denied the allegations, telling TMZ “everything is, and was, fine” between the formerly inseparable couple.

In a posting on his agency Finalpixx’s website, he added: “All I can say is that I have not been in contact with Britney since early Friday morning. The reason being, that I have has to attend a family funeral in Santa Barbara. My phone has been off during this time out of respect for my family. I hope to be back home in Los Angeles soon and to be in contact with Miss Spears.”

The Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office have both denied issuing the restraining order or are “not aware” that one had even been requested against Ghalib. The paperwork been shown about may relate to an old order issued in November against a number of paparazzi photographers who were judged to be taking their pursuit of a photographer too far.

Back to work

After her late night of socialising on Saturday, Britney spent Sunday afternoon shopping for pet supplies then took her Yorkshire Terrier, London along to dance rehearsals at the Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood.

The studio’s owner Robert Baker told People magazine: “She is working on the choreography for her song ‘Hot as Ice’. She rehearsed an amazing routine with a chair.”

“[But I had to] let her use my personal copy of ‘Blackout’. She forgot her own CD.”

But forgetfulness aside, she was in a good mood. On her way into the studio though, she told photographers: “Today’s a good day, I feel great. I’m so happy right now.”

“I don’t know him”

However, after her rehearsals, her mood had soured and she had adopted “The British Girl“’s accent.

When asked for money by a homeless man, she replied: “You’re better off being homeless than being me right now. … It’s been a long time since I’ve had fun.”

She then asked photographers for “Ghalib’s number … because they steal my phones every day” but then when asked where Adnan was, she replied: “I don’t know who that is. I’ve never met him before.”
