Nicolas Cage: I didn’t need rehab, I just realised drugs weren’t for me
Nicolas Cage has said he doesn’t think rehab is necessarily the answer for drug-addicted stars.
The Ghost Rider star is now 44 but admits to spending his youth taking a succession of illegal substances.
He explained recently: “In my twenties I went through a period of drinking and drug-taking. It didn’t make me happy but I wanted to experience them to know how they would make me feel.”
“Drugs make every single nightmare you ever had come true.”
“[But] I never went to rehab, I never went through any form of [Alcoholics Anonymous]. I went through years of experimenting and then hit the realisation that it just didn’t work for me.”

Nick has become wise…finally. Drugs have no place in anyone’s life. I’ve watched too many loved ones destroy their lives and end their lives with drug use - legal as well as illegal drugs. Love you Nicholas.
