Kate BeckinsaleKate Beckinsale has revealed that she was nearly late for the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night because of a bit of a situation at home.

Kate and husband Len Wiseman were getting ready for the red carpet event when: “Our cat [Clive] caught fire on a candle.”

“As I was getting ready, there was like ‘whoosh’ a fireball and he went up like a rocket.”

They quickly dampened down the flames and Kate insists the cat “is fine. He had no idea” but the smell of burnt fur around the house? “It was awful.”
