Britney SpearsBritney Spears reportedly had a huge fight with friend and manager Sam Lufti after he publicly revealed she was seeking treatment for her mental issues.

Sam made the revelation through Barbara Walters on The View yesterday morning after he gave permission for Barbara to discuss on-air a telephone conversation they’d had over the weekend.

Barbara told viewers of the morning talk show: “Britney, I assume, is starting some kind of treatment.”

“Sam got in touch with us. I can’t vouch for this; he seemed to be very knowledgeable and he certainly was very nice. He said that Britney is suffering from what he describes as mental issues which are treatable. He said that she has been to a psychiatrist… she has been having mood swings, she’s been having trouble sleeping… Whatever has been happening, she’s now sleeping.”

But Britney wasn’t sleeping later in the day when the pair were seen having an argument at her Beverly Hills home.

Sources describe the row as “really ugly” with, at one point, a tearful Britney sitting on the pavement near her home and hugging her dog, London, while Sam continued to verbally abuse her.

Britney’s on-off boyfriend Adnan Ghalib told TMZ that he was summoned to the house by Britney during the argument because she wanted him to take her away from the scene but when he got there, he found Sam had barred him from the property.

Adnan then told fellow paparazzi photographers at the scene that Sam had left a note for Adnan with the security team, explaining: “You’re a manic trigger. If you continue to have any contact, you’ll kill her. It’s your decision.” Adnan then tried to call Britney on her numerous mobile phones and landline but she didn’t answer. Her parents, who are said to dislike Sam, both later arrived and were admitted to the gated community.

Sam was initially suspicious of Adnan when he first arrived in Britney’s life, accusing him taking advantage of the singer, but then the two men seemingly became friends. However, a source close to the group has said the ceasefire is now over: “They hate each other. Sam doesn’t think Adnan is good enough for Britney and Adnan hates the control Sam has on her. Britney’s caught in the middle.”

The source added though that the men’s media alliances may also be causing tension between the pair, with an ongoing disagreement over which paparazzi photo agency should been tipped off about Britney’s antics: “Sam has always given tips to X17 while Adnan obviously wants everything going through [the agency he works for] Finalpixx.”

“These two guys are making money off Britney but she’s too blind to see it. It’s tragic that her life has come down to this.”

But it’s not all bad news for the singer: court documents from last week’s custody hearing have revealed that Britney has been allowed telephone contact with her sons Sean and Jayden.

Britney has not been allowed to see the boys since the “family custody dispute” at her home on 3rd January and is unlikely to have her visitation rights reinstated until at least next month’s scheduled hearing - but she will now be allowed to speak to them over the phone. Further details of when and for how long the conversations could take place were not released.
