Actress Sean Young has checked into rehab after she was forcibly removed from the Directors Guild of America Awards ceremony at the weekend.

Sean, who starred in Blade Runner and No Way Out, was escorted from Saturday’s event after she heckled presenters and award winners during the ceremony.

A spokesperson said yesterday: “Sean Young voluntarily admitted herself [on Monday] to a rehabilitation center for treatment related to alcoholism. It is understood that Young has struggled against the disease for many years.”
