Cheryl Cole considering divorce - with £4million pay-off

Cheryl Cole is said to be looking into divorcing husband Ashley Cole after his infidelity came to light last week.

A friend of the Girls Aloud star told the Sun that after initial denial, Cheryl is finally coming to terms with his actions: “She knows he has slept with other girls. That is no longer in question and she won’t be pretending he is innocent again.”

“I can’t see her taking him back. He’s begging like a dog - and that is how she sees him.”

“She has taken advice on divorce and it is now a very viable option. She’d be looking at about £4million.”

But at the moment, those close to her are more concerned about her well-being than her potential wealth. She is said to have barely eaten since news broke last week and the Sun’s source added: “She has suffered a complete emotional breakdown. Her family is absolutely furious with Ashley for what he has done to this beautiful young lady, who devoted herself totally to him.”

In related news, Cheryl’s fellow WAG Victoria Beckham is said to have called to offer Cheryl her support.

A source close to the Spice Girl told the Daily Mail: “Victoria was really upset when she heard what happened, and wanted Cheryl to know she was there for her.”

“The pair are good friends, and Posh went through exactly the same thing when Rebecca Loos claimed she had an affair with David a few years ago.”

“She stuck by her man and got through it, and she just wanted to tell Cheryl that she could get through it too. [But] while the claims against David were never proved, Ashley might have a tougher time clearing his name after this one.”
