Lily Allen’s little brother’s hairiness worries Equus producers

Producers of the touring version of West End hit Equus found themselves in a bit of a delicate situation when it transpired that the play’s star Alfie Allen was a little hairier than they’d anticipated.

Lily Allen’s little brother has taken over the role made famous by Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe but a source explained to the Mirror: “The producers and director are waxing lyrical about Alfie - he is incredibly talented.”

“But rehearsals for one of the play’s climactic scenes, in which he appears naked alongside co-star Laura O’Toole, revealed a knotty problem - his pubic hair. Apparently, Alfie is a grower not a show-er and his unkempt bush needed to be cut back.”

“It was out of control and not doing justice to his manhood..

“It was quite awkward and no one knew how to tell him and who should do it. But when Alfie was told, he took it like a man - and reached for the nail scissors.”

Alfie made his nude stage debut in Chicester on Thursday night with sister Lily in the audience.
