Amy Winehouse gets visit in rehab from police
Amy Winehouse was visited in rehab yesterday by police investigating claims about her drug use.
Officers spent around two hours at the Capio Nightingale clinic in North London talking to the singer about the leaked video showing her smoking crack-cocaine after allegedly snorting cocaine and powdered ecstasy.
An inside source told the Sun: “She was not arrested. She is co-operating with police.”
But even an investigation may be bad for Amy at the moment: on Monday, she took time out of her treatment to visit the US Embassy in an effort to obtain a visa allowing her to perform at this weekend’s Grammy Awards.
A friend added: “The timing of this isn’t great. She is desperate to go to The Grammys and needs to show US officials she is taking her rehabilitation seriously.”
“Being nominated for six awards is the one thing that motivated her to do rehab.”
