David Beckham and Victoria BeckhamDavid and Victoria Beckham are reportedly considering adopting a daughter after David’s recent visit to Sierra Leone.

David travelled to the previous war-torn country as part of an awareness raising campaign with UNICEF and witnessed a baby being born then helped to give immunisation drops to another newborn child.

A source told Grazia magazine: “Adoption is something David has been talking about for some time [but] it was only when David started planning his trip to Sierra Leone that they began talking about adoption again.”

“It’s clear they both think adoption is great. If there is one subject that can move him to tears, it’s the thought of being unloved, uncared for and with no hope or future.”

The couple already have three sons - Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz - but the source added that David has been talking to friend Tom Cruise about what it’s like to expand a family through adoption: “Tom has talked to David about how adoption changed him and how he’s been able to change the lives of two amazing children [duaghter Bella and son Connor].”

Victoria and David have repeatedly spoken about their hopes to have a fourth child, preferably a daughter, but recently Victoria is said to have expressed concern about getting pregnant again.

A spokesperson for the couple denied that an adoption is imminent though: “They both publicly have said that while they admire people who go through the adoption process, their focus is raising their own three boys.”
