Britney Spears leads kids dance class amid new Sam Lufti claims
Britney Spears‘ former friend/advisor/manager Sam Lufti has been accused of making financial demands on the star during her most troubled periods.
In new court papers filed as part of the ongoing conservatorship case over the star, Jamie Spears’ attorney Jeryll Cohen stated: “During the telephone conversation, Mr. Grossman [Brit’s business manager] told me that he had numerous e-mails from [Sam] Lutfi in which Mr Lutfi made various demands, including demands for money. Mr Grossman told me he did not comply with Mr Lutfi’s demands.”
Grossman himself may be fired by Jamie Spears and co-conservator Andrew Wallet as they claim he broke their ground rules. He was told “he was not permitted to give Britney any money, credit cards, or access to money or credit cards or to meet with Britney … at the Beverly Hills Hotel or anywhere else” but then he met Britney at the named hotel shortly after she left hospital last week. He also made directions to have one of her cars delivered to the hotel without the conservators’ permission
Cohen explained Grossman “wanted to build [Britney’s] confidence in him. The temporary co-conservators believe that they cannot trust Mr Grossman to follow instruction.”
The conservatorship is due to expire on Thursday but may be extended if the court feel Britney is still unable to manage her own affairs.
Britney herself is said to be concentrating on her pop comeback again, after spending most of the weekend rehearsing at the Millennium Dance Studio in North Hollywood - but the studio’s owner has revealed she also found time to drop into a children’s dance class.
According to Robert Baker, Britney led a dance group of five year old boys yesterday afternoon and started the session by introducing herself to each of the little dancers and shaking their hands. She then led them through some moves to Madonna’s hits ‘Material Girl’ and ‘True Blue’.
Backer told Us Weekly: “She worked out this great little routine for them, they were dancing all over the place, she had them dancing in a circle like a choo-choo train. The kids loved it - they were having a ball. And Britney - she was just drinking it up. She totally enjoyed herself. It was an amazing class - she and the kids were certainly enjoying the process.”
“Britney’s telling me that she likes this so much that she’s thinking about making it a regular thing, possibly every other week. She loves to interact with the kids, and she feels that it’s important to give back to the dance community.”
But she might not be able to sign up for a full term of teaching: a source has told the New York Post that her family and record company have a new plan to get her away from her troubled life in Los Angeles - a world tour.
The source told the newspaper that rumours were circulating at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night that Britney “will be leaving the country in the next few weeks”: “She’ll train in privacy for a month, then go on a global tour.”
