Jamelia: Paul McCartney was silly not to get a pre-nup
Jamelia has said she doesn’t think Heather Mills should be receive just about any money from Paul McCartney in their divorce settlement.
Paul and Heather are in the middle of a five day hearing at the High Court to settle the financial details and custody arrangement of their separation but speaking at the Elle Style Awards last night, Jamelia explained it would be pretty clear cut if she was the presiding judge: “There’s no way she deserves any money Paul earned before he met her.”
“I’m all for pre-nups. I am going to ask my fiance [footballer Darren Byfield] to sign one, but he doesn’t know yet.”

What has Jamelia got to say about her own music career? (nudge, nudge, wink wink!)

I read somewhere that pre-Nups aren’t legal in the UK

Prenups aren’t legal in the UK, but I’m sure that Paul didn’t enter this marriage expecting it to turn out the way it has. Even had Mills signed a prenup, though, she’d probably now be claiming that it was invalid.

Hannah - What do you want her to say about her music career? She’s sold a fair few million records around the world, won numerous awards, had many top 10 singles and has 10 years of experience under her belt. Is that what you want her to say, or are you specifically reffering to ‘Walk With Me’ underperforming? Because if so, I recommend reading up your facts because the problem with that album wasn’t Jamelia or the music at all. She was critically praised and the album is arguably her best work to date. No. The problem was her record label who were not giving her the support & promotion she needed in order for the album to be a huge success. She left the label in March, 2007 and is now working in New York on her next album with producers who have penned hits for artists like Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Jay-Z, BeyoncĂ© and John Legend.
