Britney Spears’ lawyers urgently try to withdraw from her case
Britney Spears‘ lawyers are reportedly extremely keen to stop representing the star as soon as possible.
The law firm Trope and Trope initially applied to withdraw as the singer’s counsel last month then briefly signed back up for the case before filing a fresh withdrawal request last week.
A hearing has been set to hearing their motion on 10th March but inside sources report that they will approach the presiding Commissioner at the Los Angeles Superior Court today in order to bring forward that hearing.
The firm previously blamed a “breakdown in communication” with Britney as the reason for their decision but this time around it looks like they may be jumping before they’re pushed as Britney’s father Jamie Spears, who currently has control of the star’s assets, is keen to reinstate Britney’s former divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. Whether or not, Wasser wants to return to the case has not been confirmed.
Trope and Trope are said to have been refused contact with Britney since Jamie and estate lawyer Andrew Wallet were granted co-conservatorship status nearly a fortnight ago. The control court order is set to expire tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Britney herself may be starting to look a bit more together over the next few weeks as she was spotted shopping with her mum yesterday.
Britney’s peculiar wardrobe decisions are said to be a sign of her bipolar disorder and played a part in her categorisation as “gravely disabled” when she was hospitalised earlier this month.
According to onlookers at the Miss Sixty store in Los Angeles yesterday, Britney and Lynne Spears were getting along well during the shopping trip and Britney repeatedly asked for advice on what to buy: “Her mom helped her get the right size jeans that she ended up buying. Britney also held up the blue [Tirsa] dress in front of her and showed her mom before she decided to buy it.”
Britney also bought two t-shirts, spending $650 in total.

Jamie Spears is doing a great job. I would have fired Trope and Trope within the first 2 weeks of them representing Brit simply because they accomplished nothing. But I did not know at that time that Osama was behind that hire. Jamie is right not to let them near Brit as I am sure they would tell Kaplan anything they found out. Even the lawyers know they could be charged with various crimes themselves in this case. They are required to represent to the best of their ability and that theuy certainly did not do. How poor of a litigator does one have to be inorder to have Brit being randomly drug tested while k-fed the known pot smoker with video online showing him smoking pot in October goes untested and has physical custody of the kids. These lawyers should have been fired long ago and their bill as well as Kaplan’s bill should be investigated.
