Victoria Beckham and David BeckhamSince chocolates are perhaps not appropriate for someone who controls their eating as much as Victoria Beckham, David Beckham is reportedly planning to show his love for his wife by getting a tattoo in her honour.

According to the News of the World, body art fan David is planning to have a black rose inked in the little blank space he has left on his arms.

A source told the newspaper: “The rose is another tribute to Victoria. She’ll be shocked but pleased when she finds out.”

Black roses do not occur in nature but have many symbolic meanings, from the negative significations of death or a farewell to symbolise the overcoming of a difficult journey or a unique devotional love because it is impossible to reproduce.

In related news, Victoria was spotted buying a Valentine’s card in New York on Tuesday. The card’s design explained “I can’t bear to be without you” - with the word ‘bear’ was replaced by a pack of Haribo gummy bears sweets. The card was expected to be for one of the couple’s three sons - Brooklyn, Romeo or Cruz - instead of David though.
