Liam Gallagher and Nicole Appleton marry in Valentine’s ceremony

Oasis star Liam Gallagher married All Saint’s Nicole Appleton in a secret Valentine’s Day ceremony yesterday.

The couple, who have a six year old son together, Gene, were previously rumoured to be walking down the aisle last October but only actually engaged their vows yesterday.

The intimate ceremony took place at Westminster Register Office in London in front of just a handful of selected family and friends.

A friend of the newlyweds told the Sun: “They felt like they were married anyway. He’s worn a ring on his wedding finger for years to show his commitment.”

“But he decided it was the right time.”

Another source told the Mirror that the “hush-hush” event was “exactly what they wanted”: “romantic, spontaneous and with only their nearest and dearest.”

“Some of their mates will feel a bit miffed that they weren’t invited but it wasn’t that sort of a bash.”

After the service, the party held a low key reception at the nearby Landmark Hotel.
