Kylie MinogueKylie Minogue has revealed she’s not yet made any plans about how she’ll celebrate her 40th birthday in May.

She said recently: “I’m not looking forward to my 40th but I guess I have to get excited about it. I’m a rubbish party planner so normally I don’t bother, but I guess I have to this time round, I’ll just get my pal William [Baker] to help.”

“I don’t want a huge party, I just want a few friends round. I mean turning 40 isn’t really something to celebrate is it? I’d rather ignore it.”

She added that “ignoring it” was also her strategy for Valentine’s Day this week: “I’m boycotting it all, [because] what’s the point because I’ve nobody special in my life at the moment.

“I will be celebrating with my girlfriend instead because it’s her birthday…so not your traditional Valentine’s Day.”
