Kirsten DunstKirsten Dunst’s partying reportedly started to spin out of control after she split from long-term boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal in 2005.

The Spider-Man star is currently in rehab at the Cirque Lodge facility in Utah and a source has claimed her problems began to escalate after her split from Jake. Shortly after they went their separate ways, Kirsten admitted that they were fundamentally different people, with Jake being a “stay-at-home boy” while she’s an “out-on-the-town girl” - and a source told Us Weekly that the difference may have been the reason for the split: “Jake was turned off by all the partying.”

The source added that after a few brief failed relationships, the actress began to regret their separation even more, which caused her to party even harder. While making her new film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, the source explained: “Whenever the cast and crew were out, she was the center of the group - doing shots and encouraging everyone to drink.”

“There was no such thing as ‘just the one’ for her.”

But she finally realised that the situation couldn’t go on and she will stay at Cirque Lodge “as long as she needs” to deal with her problems.
