Tina O'BrienFormer Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien’s relationship with former co-star Ryan Thomas has reportedly hit problems after she quit the soap last month.

The couple’s rather chaotic on-screen marriage ended when Tina left the show at the start of the year and a source close the couple has revealed that life is imitating art - just without the infidelity and drug plots.

The source told the News of the World that Ryan is finding it difficult to deal with Tina’s new-found love of partying now that she is no longer tied down to the hectic routine of life on a soap: “Things came to a head this month and they decided to go their separate ways. Ryan moved out and Tina said she’d sell the house.”

But they reconciled this week, just before Valentine’s Day: “They missed each other and have got back together. But no one’s holding out much hope. They’ve just grown apart. No one else is involved.”
