Coleen McLoughlin and Wayne Rooney sign £2.5million wedding deal
Coleen McLoughlin and Wayne Rooney have reportedly signed a £2.5million deal for exclusive coverage of their wedding this summer.
The pair were originally have rumoured to have signed a joint £1.5million deal last year - for coverage of both Coleen’s 21st birthday party and the wedding - but now a source has told the People newspaper that the new deal covers all worldwide rights for the event, with the winning bidder expected to resell magazine and TV rights to other publications around the world.
The source explained: “The company who have signed the deal are ecstatic.”
“It might seem a phenomenal amount of money but Wayne and Coleen are circulation gold. This easily surpasses any other celebrity wedding deal.”
“They have left Posh and Becks in their wake.”
The couple were originally planning to marry after the end of the Euro 2008 tournament but after the English football squad failed to qualify, the couple can now marry when they like and Coleen has been scouting castle around Europe for the perfect location.
A source close to the couple added: “This new deal will pay for all their wedding extravagances, the security to make sure it isn’t ruined by unwanted guests or photographers and still give them a tidy sum at the end of it. They’re over the moon.”

With all the poverty in the world and reports of the increase in child poverty in this country and old people being unable to pay for necessary fuel the money being received by Rooney and his girl friend for the publicity of their wedding and the cost of the wedding itself is absolutely obscene.
