Johnny Depp, Jude Law & Colin Farrell step into Heath Ledger’s last film role

Heath Ledger’s final film will be completed after all - with Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell all stepping into the late actor’s character.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was nearly abandoned in the wake of Heath’s death last month but now a spokesperson for Jude Law has confirmed that he, Johnny and Colin will step into the role.

The fantasy film, directed by Terry Gilliam, follows a travelling theatre group who pass through a magical mirror into alternate dimensions - and the actors will play Heath’s character in each of the different dimensions.

The spokesperson explained the deal was agreed “subject to final negotiations” and the three men will film their roles over the next few months.

Heath’s last complete film, Batman sequel The Dark Knight, is due to be released in July.
