Despite the fact former Eastenders star Marc already had a girlfriend, he and the Catatonia singer flirted throughout their time on the reality TV show then got together after the series was over and Marc finished with his girlfriend of two years, Sarah Matravers.

A source told the Daily Mail: “The passion fizzled out and they’ve hardly seen each other in the last month.”

“All the talk of having babies and settling down turned to dust. They had talked about buying a house together but that plan was abandoned early in the year.”

“Cerys has been in Wales and Marc has rarely visited. Once she got back to normal life she started to feel embarrassed by the way she had fallen for Marc on camera. She thought the jungle would be fun - but she feels sheepish about it now.”

A source close to Marc added that he better not start looking back at his ex-girlfriend now he’s single again: “If Marc thinks he can go crawling back to Sarah, he’s much too late. She’s loved up and planning a new future with [her new man].”
