Jennifer Lopez signs $6million deal for baby photos?

Jennifer Lopez has reportedly struck a deal worth up to $6million for exclusive photos of her soon-to-arrive twin babies.

Jennifer is set to give birth to the babies any day now and a inside source told Ad Age that People magazine “is poised to pay Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony between $4million and $6million for exclusive US rights to the first photos”.

People magazine managing editor Larry Hackett said: “I have no comment on these particular pictures.”

“[But] readers have to know that when there’s a huge picture, a baby, a wedding, some life moment, People magazine is the place that you’re going to find that.”

“You have to reinforce that all the time. There’s a business to be made in the short term and there’s a business to be made in the long term.”

Christina Aguilera is said to have been paid around $1million for her photo shoot with new son Max for the magazine’s last issue and Hello magazine paid around $4million for the first photos of Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt with their daughter Shiloh, with the money going to a children’s charity.

Ad Age’s Nat Ives explained the new multimillion dollar phenomenon: “Graydon Carter was once famously accused of putting Paris Hilton on Vanity Fair’s cover because she represented ‘newsstand crack’.

“Now we see the next generation: newsstand crack babies.”
