Aaron Carter facing charges over 2oz marijuana bust
Aaron Carter is expected to appear in a Texan court this morning to be formally charged with possession of illegal drugs.
The former pop star who appeared in the House Of Carters reality show last year was stopped for speeding on the I-10 in Kimble County, Texas yesterday afternoon and when police officers searched his Cadillac Escalade, they found at least two ounces of marijuana amongst his possessions. There was no one else in the car at the time.
The 20 year old spent last night in a local jail and is expected to appear before a magistrate this morning for his arraignment.
Possession of up to 4oz of marijuana in the state is classed as a misdemeanor offence but possession of between 2-4oz can result in a fine of up to $4000 and/or confinement in jail of up to a year.
