Heather Mills to fight over Stella McCartney trustee appointment
Paul McCartney and Heather Mills‘ legal tussles may not be over even when the High Court judge overseeing their case makes his decision on their divorce settlement early next month.
According to the News of the World, Paul is keen to appoint daughter Stella onto the board of trustees taking care of Paul and Heather’s four year old daughter’s financial assets - but Heather has made it clear she’s oppposed to the idea.
Heather and Stella are said to have fought frequently during the former model’s four year marriage to Paul and their relationship was strained even further when Heather claimed Paul abused Stella’s mum, Linda McCartney.
A source told the newspaper that Paul wants to make the appointment to have someone represent his views should anything happen to him before Beatrice’s 18th birthday but Heather thinks it’ll only cause trouble: “Heather wants none of it, and has told Paul in no uncertain terms that she will fight any role Stella has in Bea’s life.”
Last week, Paul and Heather failed to reach a settlement after a six day hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. It is now up to Judge Hugh Bennett to draw up details of a financial settlement. Heather is expected to get a lump sum in addition to a yearly child support payment of around £2.5million until Beatrice turns 18.

Figures Mills would get her knickers in a twist over this.

Shame on you, Heather! Whether you like her or not, Stella is still Beatrice’s sister, someone who loves that little girl and would certainly keep her best interests in mind should she have to act in their father’s place. I’ve admired how your sister Fiona has stuck by you through this time of stress. You should be glad that Bea has sisters who will be there for her.

Not sure why Heather thinks she should get to have a say re the board of trustees. This is a trust fund being set up by Sir Paul with his money. HE is the one who decides who administers it, not Heather Mills. More importantly, Stella McCartney has the right to be a part of her sister’s life in the same way that a grandparent would have rights to see their grandchild. Heather can try to take it to court but she will lose.
And I agree with the previous poster - Heather should be glad that Beatrice has a sister who will look out for her interests (and she will) as well as provide a great role model, in terms of the virtues of working hard and supporting yourself. Because God knows she is not going to get the latter role model from her mother…

O.K, here’s one where I see NO reason for Heather to “Give Peace a Chance”. I used to respect Stella McCartney for all the reasons that other posters do, but her openly hostile and rude statements and antics regarding her step-mother began before Paul and Heather were even married. Why allow her a say in anything having to do with her half sister, as she’s been so openly hateful of Beatrice’s mother. Her interests are so obviously biased, the suggestion is laughable. You can’t take it back Stella. Your cruelty towards a woman your father loved enough to marry was disgusting.
