Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse is reportedly planning on dumping some of her closest friends and leaving life in London in order to help overcome her drug addiction.

According to the Daily Mail, she has been urged to prune her entourage by her record label Universal and working with her family, have launched an operation they call ‘Team Amy’ to keep the singer on a positive path.

A source told the newspaper: “Her best friend [hairdresser Alex Foden] is out of the picture. She has also been ditching the druggie losers she surrounded herself with.”

“Her label are paying for 24/7 surveillance to help keep Amy clean.”

Earlier this month, Amy left rehab after a fortnight in a residential programme at the Capio Nightingale Hospital but is still believed to be attending the clinic for daily outpatient sessions. However, ‘Team Amy’ have encouraged her to stay away from her home in East London, where she was filmed smoking crack last month, for fear that it’ll encourage her to slip back into old habits: “The drug dealers who used to visit her still turned up at her house, and the people looking after Amy don’t want her to be tempted.”

Amy is currently staying at a hotel but has reportedly been offered the guest cottage at the Osbournes estate in Buckinghamshire by friend, and former rehabber, Kelly Osbourne.

A source told the Sun though that Amy is considering buying her own home in Buckinghamshire: “She wants to move out of London and buy a house in the country.”

“There is so much attention on her in London and it’s all getting a bit much. She enjoyed it at first but she needs some space. She doesn’t feel she can go out any more without the eyes of the city on her.”

“And hopefully a move from London will also be a move away from temptation.”

Amy’s relocation out of London follows in the footsetps of friend Pete Doherty who relocated to Wiltshire after he left rehab late last year - and according to the News of the World, Amy’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil is said to want to follow in Pete’s footsteps too.

A source told the newspaper that Blake is keen to have an opiate-suppressing implant to help beat his heroin addiction after Pete told him about life with the device: “Pete’s been supportive over Blake’s drug issues as he knows what he’s going through.”

“Blake is willing to give the implant a go. The medical team are now looking at another conultation before fitting the implant.”

“The medical team suggested rehab or the implant.”

“Blake was allowed to speak to Pete to discuss what having the implant was like. It was a way of persuading him that he could kick drugs.”

Blake, currently on remand at HMP Pentonville, nearly died after using contiminated heroin earlier this month and is said to have swapped signed photos of his wife with fellow inmates to obtain the drug.
