Jennifer Lopez and twins “happy and healthy”

Jennifer Lopez is said to be “doing great” after giving birth to twins in the early hours of Friday morning.

Jennifer and husband Marc Anthony welcomed first their daughter then their son at a hospital in Long Island, New York in the first hour of Friday (local time) and the family are said to be still at the hospital, resting.

A source told People magazine: “She is so happy right now. Everything is wonderful. She is beyond thrilled to become a mom. She is over the moon.”

Jennifer has made no secret of her desire to start a family and the source added that now that she has, she’ll turn her life around to accommodate them: “This is a turning point in Jennifer’s life. It’s a dream come true. She loves those babies.”

Jennifer’s spokesperson confirmed that “everyone is happy and healthy” after the birth but wouldn’t comment on whether Jennifer gave birth naturally or had a caesarian section, or whether the birth was a Scientology-style quiet one as she was rumoured to have been considering.

Jennifer’s best friend Leah Remini, who is a Scientology, was one of the first people to visit the star after the birth along with her sister and parents.
