Oscars 2008: performances by Amy Adams and Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova
The Academy probably made the best choice in giving the Best Music (song) Oscar to ‘Falling Slowly’, performed by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova from their film Once - because it’s a lovely song - but Amy Adams‘ performance of ‘Happy Working Song’ from Enchanted is just so surreal that we have to feature it here.
She’s so perfectly in character even though she’s not surrounded helpful pigeons, rats and cockroaches, and is instead stood alone, in a very nice dress, on a stage in front of her leading contemporaries and being watched by about 40million viewers.
If that slice of pure Disney doesn’t do it for you though, here’s the wonderful performance of ‘Falling Slowly’ too.
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
