Gareth Gates: my stammer is getting worse while I’m Dancing On Ice
Gareth Gates has revealed his participation in Dancing On Ice has caused his stammer to get worse - because he has to spend his time training for that instead of working on his breathing exercises.
He said recently: “The stutter was horrendous, then it got better. But it’s a bit ropey again at the moment because I haven’t got time to do my exercises.”
“When I am concentrating on something else, I don’t have the chance so the stutter gets worse again.”
Gareth and partner Maria Filippov are down to the final five couples left in the ITV show.

Gareth may allways have to work on his stammer up to 2 hrs a day, which is impossible at the moment while he is training 6 days a week for DOI, starting early mornings.
I have great admiration for him as he is doing brilliantly on DOI, as he is the only one of the favourites not to have training, as he is a musician, not a Dancer or a Skater.
Which means he is having to work much harder.
But this does mean that his speech won’t be as fluent when he is so busy.
But Gareth does give 100% in everything he does
and is used to hard work and pressure, so he will be fine.

I hate Gareth, the stutter always re-appears when he needs the sympathy vote, no sign of it early on in the show, suddenly pulls it out of the bag when he’s up against stiff competition and is about to be voted out. I was waiting for it, and there it is. (Wish I’d put money on it)
He wasn’t injured so had to have a migraine to get some attention, it miraculously went in time for him to appear on the show!
He tried it on pop idol and didn’t win then either. Hope the British public wake up to his pathetic little tricks and vote him out this week, whiny spoilt cretin!
