Jennifer LopezJennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony took their newborn twins home to their Manhattan home for the first time on Monday.

The singer gave birth to a 5lb 7oz baby girl just after midnight last Friday morning, followed by a 6lb baby boy around 11 minutes later.

Jennifer’s obstetrician Dr Anita Sadaty told Life & Style magazine that the children were born by Caesarian section at North Shore Hospital in New York and it was a straight-forward birth: “The delivery went without a hitch. There were no complications whatsoever.

“Marc was by her side. He and Jennifer are simply overjoyed.”

Dr Sadaty discharged Mum and babies on Monday but said that over the weekend, Jennifer had already settled into her new role: “She has this motherhood glow about her, very serene.”

“Her boy and girl are healthy - and for that she feels so thankful and blessed.”

Jennifer and Marc are said to have agreed to a $6million deal with People magazine for the first photos of the children and are expected to keep the children’s names a secret until them. However, last month Jennifer’s mother was spotted buying baby identity bracelets engraved with the names Emme and Max.
