Naomi CampbellNaomi Campbell has undergone an emergency medical procedure in Brazil after suffering from severe abdominal pain.

The supermodel was admitted to Sirio Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo on Monday evening and was found to have a “small cyst” in need of removal.

Gynecological surgeon Jose Pinotti told local news agency Estado: “I operated on her … and she is completely cured.”

“It was an emergency operation but everything went well. There were no incidents or any problems that worried me during the surgery.”

“The whole procedure was done through laparoscopy, without the need to go through the traditional method, which would mean opening the stomach.”

Her spokesperson confirmed the operation and added: “Following the successful procedure, she is now resting and is looking forward to getting back to work. She would like to thank the doctors who have kindly looked after her.”

Naomi is said to be staying in the country with rumoured boyfriend, Brazilian billionaire Marcus Elias.
