Britney SpearsBritney Spears‘ paparazzo boyfling Adnan Ghalib is reportedly telling friends that the singer is pregnant with his child.

Britney was spotted with a slight belly bump after her recent hospitalisation but most sources put that down to her current troubles interferring with her fitness routine.

However, sources close to the Birmingham-born photographer claim he’s been telling friends the couple are expecting a baby and he’s over the moon about it: “Britney is Adnan’s dream come true. He knows that if he has a child with Brit, he’ll be made for life.”

Britney and Adnan are said to have hooked up for the first time in December and took a brief trip to Mexico together after Britney was released from hospital at the start of January. He was also with her when she was released from her second hospital stint earlier this month but despite seemingly having more parental approval than Britney’s other close friend Sam Lufti, her parents are said to be less than impressed with this latest development: “Her parents know she can’t handle more children.”

In related Britney news, a federal judge has ruled that the star’s ongoing conservatorship case should stay at the state court level.

Federal District Judge Philip Gutierrez yesterday ruled that Jon Eardley’s attempts to upgrade the case were not valid and “Mr Eardley is not Ms Spears attorney and acted improperly by removing her conservatorship proceeding to federal court.”

“Mr Eardley fails to explain why he can bring this claim for her in the first instance. He cannot. While he claims to be Ms Spears’s attorney, the probate court … found that she was incapable of retaining her own counsel.”

However the court did not award fee reimbursement to the legal team representing Britney’s current conservators, meaning the failed attempt cost Britney and her family around $40,000.

Sam Lufti is said to have been behind Eardley’s attempts, which initially claimed the star’s civil rights had been violated.
