Dennis Quaid: we’re having a blast with our twins

Dennis Quaid has said it’s great watching his baby twins develop.

Thomas and Zoe were born in November last year and nearly died after they were accidentally given a massive overdose of blood thinner Heparin. However, three months on, the pair are doing well and starting to become more aware of their environment.

He told Us Weekly recently: “We’re having a blast. They’re great.”

“They just discovered each other actually. That happens with twins, they actually don’t even acknowledge each other’s presence ’til right around this time.”

“One of them looked at the other one last week and did a double-take; it was really startling like, ‘Who are you?’”

He added that the babies are in New York with him and wife Kimberley as he promotes his new film Vantage Point: “We actually took them out on the street when it was warmer the other day and just going around with them in the stroller, it was actually the first time we’ve been able to do that.”

“[But mostly] we just lie around in bed and make funny faces at them and see how they react!”
