Dannielynn Birkhead undergoes eye operation
Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn Birkhead has undergone surgery to correct a genetic eye condition.
The 18 month old little girl underwent the procedure on Monday and dad Larry Birkhead told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday: “Dannielynn is home from surgery and resting comfortably.”
The condition, Strabimus, gives a “cross eyed” appearance and Anna Nicole’s half sister Donna Hogan revealed that her own daughter is also awaiting surgery for the complaint.
She told OK magazine: “I can confirm that it is hereditary on our father’s side of the family.”
Donna added that she understands how people might think the problem was caused by Anna Nicole’s drug use during her pregnancy but insists that’s not the case: “That’s the first thing that goes through your mind, but as someone who knows the family history and saw the signs right away in Dannielynn, of course I knew what was going on.”

I am really happy that the surgery was a success.
Thankyou Donna for your honesty…I am sure that people would have “milked” this to achieve money!
I have read that Larry is helping a NON PROFIT organization to build a house for a single Mum with 3 kiddies,some of whom have Spinabifida, JUST SHOWS WHAT YOU CAN DO IF YOU ARE NOT A SELF-CENTERED DRUG ABUSER LIKE ANS WAS!!!
I really hope that the “B*****S OF BIRKWICK” {COSBY/DOPEY & ARTHUR} end up with egg on their faces {AND HUGE LAWYERS DEBTS!!!}

I am going on 70 years old. I had a crossed eye myself. Wore glasses at 18 months of age. It was my left eye, and I had surgery at 14 years old. BY then the ability to work well with my right eye was lost. I am legally blind in that eye. It improved the “cosmetic” appearance. It should be done early. If not, can cause a great deal of emotional pain and hurt. My grandson inherited it, and had the operation at 4 years old. It runs on my father’s side as well. I am glad Larry chose to do hers early. There is no reason why this adorable little girl should have to live with this unfortuante anomally. I wish little Dannielynn the best. She is a beautiful little girl, and I am sure this was a wise decision, on her father’s part for her.
