Heather Mills and Paul McCartneyDespite attempts to keep it as private as possible so far, the judge overseeing Paul McCartney and Heather Mills‘ divorce settlement is reportedly considering making the details public when he reaches his conclusions.

The former married couple spent six days in closed-door hearings at the Royal Courts of Justice in London earlier this month but failed to reach an agreement, so it is now up to Justice Hugh Bennett to finalise the financial settlement on their behalf.

An inside source told the Daily Mail: “The judge is considering making his judgment public.”

“He feels there has been so much speculation that it would be in the public interest to end all the rumours. He has told McCartney and Mills he is considering doing that.”

A second legal source told the Mirror that Justice Bennett is likely to make his ruling on 17th March as “both parties have been asked to keep the date free”.

Heather is expected to receive a settlement between £20million-£30million including a lump sum payment and ongoing child support until their four year old daughter Beatrice turns 18. Paul is said to have rejected an earlier proposal awarding Heather a settlement worth around £60million. The former Beatle’s fortune is estimated to be around £825million.
