Paris Hilton didn’t steal Benji Madden from me, says Sophie Monk

Sophie Monk has dismissed rumours that ex-fiance Benji Madden left her for Paris Hilton.

Good Charlotte star Benji ended his engagement to the Australian actress early last month and just a fortnight later, he was spotted holding hands with Paris Hilton - but Sophie isn’t worried that the socialite stole her man.

She told the Australian Herald Sun newspaper: “Let me make this as plain as possible - Benji did not leave me for Paris Hilton.”

“Benji and I did not break up badly or anything like that. We both decided, as adults, our relationship had run its course and decided to move on.”

“I feel no animosity towards Benji and Paris at all and am very happy with life at the moment.”

Benji and Paris are said to have been friends for a while - through Nicole Richie who is engaged to Benji’s brother Joel Madden - before hooking up last weekend.
